We’re Excited to Announce That “Restylane Kysse” Filler is Now Available – Learn More

Restylane®

Restylane is an injectable gel that is made using hyaluronic acid, which a substance that occurs naturally within your skin.

As we continue to age, we lose this substance, causing our skin to lose volume and folds to occur. With this unique filler, water is attracted once the gel is injected, allowing the volume to be restored.

The Restylane will be injected into the mid-deep dermis to reach moderate nasolabial folds, as well as the lips to add more volume. The process may only take a few minutes and only requires local or topical anesthesia.

How the Restylane Procedure Works

Restylane is an easy cosmetic procedure that can be done right there in your doctor’s office, no incisions included. Your doctor will use local or topical anesthesia to minimize the amount of pain during the treatment. Depending on how well you react to the treatment and how much work you’ll need, the injections will take anywhere from just a few minutes to a maximum amount of an hour to complete.

Areas That Can Be Treated by Restylane

Because there are different types of Restylane that can be used, you’ll need to speak with your doctor regarding which treatment option is best suited for your specific condition. The different areas of the face that can be treated with Restylane include your lips, wrinkles, facial folds, and cheeks. Though they are all hyaluronic acid-based fillers, each filler is designed for a different purpose. A few of the areas that can be treated using Restylane include the following:

  • Lips and surrounding areas
  • Cheeks and midface areas
  • Laugh lines
  • Wrinkles around the nose and mouth

Approved Uses for Restylane

With such a variety of Restylane fillers, there are a number of approved ways this type of injection can be used. While you’ll need to consult your doctor about which is best suited for your condition, we’ve listed a few of their approved uses below.

  • Restylane® Silk – Used for lip augmentation and for the correction of perioral wrinkles.
  • Restylane® Defyne – Best suited for mid-to-deep injections into the facial tissue to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
  • Restylane® Refyne – Similar to Restylane Defyne, this product is also used for mid-to-deep injections to correct moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles.
  • Restylane Lyft – This is used for deep implantation into the facial tissue, correcting moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles. It is also used for cheek augmentation and for the correction of mid-face contour deficiencies.

Results You Can Expect from Restylane

Restylane often takes a little longer for the full results; however, you can start seeing some results almost immediately. This type of filler will most often last for a range of 6 to 18 months. It can be used to treat some of the same areas as Juvederm but works well in areas around the lips, nose, and cheeks.

How Much Does Restylane® Cost?

The final cost of your Restylane treatments will vary based on what exactly you’ll need to have done and how many syringes will be required for your procedure. This filler is typically sold by the syringe, starting at a general cost of $275 per syringe. Depending on the severity of your condition, most procedures will fall between a price range of $300 to $800. Keep in mind, since it is considered to be a cosmetic enhancement, most health insurance companies will not cover the treatment.
