Cysts Treatment

Cysts Treatment

Cysts are common, usually benign, growths that can appear anywhere on the body.

Patients with cysts may be concerned with the cosmetic appearance, or the cyst may be causing discomfort and mechanical irritation due to its location.

Cysts can also become inflamed and infected requiring incision and drainage, and occasionally, oral antibiotics.

Sometimes intralesional steroids are used to decrease inflammation. If a definitive treatment is desired, an excision is curative.
