Christine Yuengel, M.D.

“Dr. Chris” founded this Winston Salem practice in 1997, and has seen it grow over the past several years, while preserving the emphasis on individual patient care. The focus of the practice includes clinical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic enhancement.

The practice is one of a few dermatologic practices in North Carolina that is accredited by AAAHC, which is an organization that certifies a practice meets an excellent standard of care.

Dr. Yuengel is a board certified dermatologist and has been in medical practice since 1988. She completed her dermatology residencies at UTHSCD-Dallas and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Her medical degree was earned at UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School, now known as Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine.

Janet Colford – Cosmetic Medical Aesthetician

Janet is a Minnesota native who joined this practice in 2005 with over 14 years experience in the medical field working with plastic surgeons and dermatologists.
Janet has focused her training on the functioning of the skin, and how cosmetic treatments can enhance appearance and function.

Janet maintains active involvement with the Society of Dermatology Skincare Specialists and the Society of Plastic Surgery Skincare Specialists, and consults with patients about options for cosmetic procedures offered here and elsewhere.

She has one son. She enjoys fashion, friends, and family.

Ashley Santiago – Cosmetic Medical Aesthetician

Ashley Santiago is a cosmetic medical esthetician with over 12 years of experience in advanced skincare treatments. She specializes in medical-grade facials and non-invasive hair loss treatments, combining clinical knowledge with a personalized approach to help patients achieve healthy, confident skin. Ashley is passionate about delivering results-driven care while ensuring every patient feels comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Outside of the office, Ashley is married and the proud mother of her daughter. In her free time, she enjoys writing and singing country music alongside her husband.

Alexandra (Ali) Levitt, PA-C

Alexandra Levitt brings over five years of hands-on clinical experience to her work in weight loss, wellness, and aesthetic medicine. Early in her career, she focused on guiding patients through complex surgical journeys, while also providing nutrition counseling, lifestyle coaching, and emotional support—skills she now brings to helping patients achieve lasting health and wellness goals.
With a holistic and patient-centered approach, Ali believes in empowering each individual through education, personalized guidance, and sustainable lifestyle strategies. Her goal is to help patients feel confident, healthy, and supported on every step of their wellness and aesthetic journey.

Brittany Axner, PA-C

Brittany Axner, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with experience in both general surgery and dermatology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia and later earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Bethel University in Tennessee in 2014. At the start of her career, she specialized in general surgery, working in High Point for five years. She has spent the past seven years working in dermatology in Greensboro and is excited to bring her medical and surgical experience to our practice. In her free time, she enjoys painting, baking, reading classic rock autobiographies, and spending time with her husband, two children, and dog.
