What is Emsculpt Treatment?
Emsculpt is a simple treatment that’s done right in our office. There’s no anesthesia involved, no incisions will need to be made, there’s no surgery required, and no recovery time needed. It really is that simple to tone up your body!
The treatment works by reducing fat while simultaneously building muscle. It is FDA-approved to slim down several hard-to-shape areas. Not only can you tone up your stomach, but you can also lift your buttocks and sculpt your arms and legs.
How Does Emsculpt Work?
How is it even possible to build muscle without working out? Emsculpt makes the sculpted look possible through HIFEM technology. HIFEM is short for “High Intensity Focused Electra Magnetic” Technology.
During the treatment, a small device will be placed on the area you want to shape and tone. This device will force your muscles into “supramaximal contractions.” This type of contraction affects both your muscle and fat tissues. This isn’t a type of contraction that can be done with the exercise, in fact, Emsculpt can cause up to 20,000 muscle contractions per minute. That is the equivalent of doing approximately 20,000 sit-ups of squats!
The electromagnetic energy will cause the muscles to contract and cause your muscle structure to reshape. During the muscle remodeling, you’ll also burn fat at the same time.
How is Emsculpt Different than Other Procedures?
Emsculpt is the best for toning and shaping because there is not another treatment like it out there! This is the only device approved by the FDA that can both tone and build muscle at the same time.
One thing that sets Emsculpt apart from the other treatments is that it isn’t a treatment for weight loss like some of the other options on the market. It’s best for strengthening, toning, and firming areas for those that are already in pretty good shape already.

How Long Does the Emsculpt Procedure Take?
Do you have 30 minutes? That’s all it takes to get an Emsculpt treatment done. Seriously, you can get this treatment done on a lunch break! However, if you need work done on multiple body parts, then you’ll need two 30-minute sessions.
This treatment is so quick and easy, it’s performed in our office with a special machine. And the best part is that it is not painful at all! During the session, you will feel your muscles contracting, but you won’t be doing anything, other than just lying there while it is happening.
Some people feel sore after the treatment, but they say it’s a soreness like you feel after a good workout at the gym. And listen to this – you won’t have to cancel any of your plans because there is absolutely no downtime required. It’ll just be like you went a killer gym session, so you’ll be able to go on about your normal day after the procedure is done.
The protocol calls for four sessions within a two-week period. So, you’ll need to get these sessions done about two or three days apart.
What are the Emsculpt Results?
Most people tend to feel results right after the procedure is done, but it will take about two to four weeks and the other treatments in order for you to see the maximum results. These results look natural too! Most people say the Emsculpt before and after looks like you’ve been working with a trainer and eating right to get in the best shape of your life!
How long the results last will depend on your lifestyle. Most people are able to maintain the results with regular exercise, but this isn’t the case for all Emsculpt patients. Some patients return for repeat treatments as maintenance.
